Ambassador of Ukraine to the EU Kostyantyn Eliseev said that the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement is not technically ready for signing.
"We have completed negotiations and initialed the agreement. Now the text is in the process of translation into the EU official languages," he said.
"According to our European partners, technical text of the Association Agreement should be ready to be signed over the coming months," he added. Meanwhile, Eliseev does not think that the signing of the Association Agreement is threatened.
"It's too definitive conclusion. Some time ago, media was pessimistic about the prospects of negotiations or initialing of the agreement. All this was not supported by the facts," the ambassador said.
He also expressed confidence that the new agreement should be signed immediately after the completion of the technical finalizing, as it is in the interests of Ukraine and the EU.
"The agreement will put an end to all the speculation about the foreign policy of Ukraine. The conclusion of the Association Agreement will be a historic point of no return in the process of Ukraine's European integration," the ambassador said.
