First deputy head of the Education Ministry Institute Svyatoslav Serebryansky said that Ukraine will not use the Russian textbooks.

He informed that 120% of text books are to be printed, that is 20% are reserved in case of opening of new schools and child migration. "This reserve will be sufficient if they start to apply for Russian teaching," he said.

"The textbooks in Hungarian, Romanian, Polish, Moldovan and Crimean Tatar have been already printed at the instructions of the regional education departments. However, the most significant share of the textbooks, 20%, has been printed in Russian. The Russian schools have one curriculum, our schools have another one, so we will not use the textbooks of other countries," Serebryansky said.

Earlier, on August 26, the Education Ministry stated that Ukrainian remain the working language of universities so far.
