Ukrainian government is working on a national project, which will draw line between drinking and service water, deputy minister of regional development, construction and housing and communal service of Ukraine Oleksandr Alipov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Three liters of drinking water are enough for drinking needs and 33 liters are enough to wash fruit and vegetables. There is no need to have toilet water of drinking quality. now we are working out a national project to draw line between drinking and service water," he said.

At the same time the deputy minister explained that the second water pipe will not be installed in the apartments. "In residential quarters we will install drinking water pump rooms and people will come there to take water for their needs. The water in the pipes will be cheaper that drinking water from pump rooms, but according to the surveys people agree to pay 3-5 hryvnais for five liters of drinking water," the official added.
