The former vice speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykola Tomenko called the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytvyn not to sign the language law, as it was adopted in violation of the Constitution and the Rules of the Parliament, he told a briefing on Wednesday.

"If we want to protect the national interests of Ukraine, the official language, the first thing to do is not to sign the language law. The next step to do is to make decisions concerning personal and political activities of every MP voted for," Tomenko said.
