Now in Ukraine the housing construction is focused on expensive dwelling by high standards, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at a meeting with representatives of public organizations on children's rights protection, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We need to build cheaper houses, and our program on affordable housing is aimed at it. There are technologies allowing building an apartment block within 6-8 months," the Premier said.
According to Azarov, the Cabinet will invite private investors for construction of this kind of housing and plans to launch the program already this year. "We intend to build 20 apartment block complexes in order to make the housing construction faster and more effective," the official summed up.
