President Viktor Yanukovych stands for expanding the concept of the Mystetskyi Arsenal National Cultural-Art and Museum Complex, he said in his closing remarks at yesterday's meeting of the Public Humanitarian Council, presidential press office reports.

"I would like us to see in the coming days a construction and renovation plan of the Mystetskyi Arsenal, which would foresee the development of a new model arts center together with the "Shevchenko's House" that Mykola Zhulynsky was talking about," he said.

Viktor Yanukovych also informed that the Kyiv City State Administration is already working on such a plan and proposed considering it at one of the forthcoming meetings of the Public Humanitarian Council. "It is important that we were moving towards the completion of this project,"  he said.
