Serhiy Vlasenko, Yulia Tymoshenko’s defender, says the ex-premier’s health has taken a turn for the worse, according to Tymoshenko's official website.
"I just had an opportunity to talk with Yulia Tymoshenko. I waited nearly three hours for the meeting because she is unable to walk without assistance," Serhiy Vlasenko told journalists Wednesday outside the Lukyanivka prison.
Vlasenko said her condition has worsened due to cold temperature in the prison. "I do not know the diagnosis, but as far as I know she was recommended bed rest, instead of staying in the premises where the temperature is below 14-15 degrees (Centigrade)... She has spine problems, as the prison service announced. All this time, she could barely get out of bed, she cannot move independently," Vlasenko said.
The lawyer also added that if Tymoshenko is interrogated on Thursday, November 10, such actions can be qualified as torture because of her poor health.
