The European Union will not agree to sign separate Agreement on free trade area with Ukraine, which is a part of the Agreement on Ukraine's association in the EU, Polish foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski told journalists.

"For us it is inseparable package...that's why if someone thinks that it is possible to have privileges of free trade with EU not respecting European values, well, he is wrong," he said.

Sikorski reminded that according to the European legislation, both documents must be ratified.
He said it is possible to sign the Association Agreement before 2012, but refused to comment whether the imprisonment of Yulia Tymoshenko can affect the signing process.

The Minister added that the Ukrainian authorities understand how important Tymoshenko's case is for European politicians and reminded that the Association Agreement must be ratified not only by the European parliament, but also by national parliaments of 27 EU countries.
