According to estimates of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine, not more than 50 international observers will work at the Ukrainian local elections, the Committee Chair, Oleksandr Chernenko, said in a Radio Liberty interview.

According to him, by the evening of Friday, October 8, none of the international observers had been registered at the Central Election Commission, National radio reported.

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe will not be able to send to Ukraine for the elections of October 31 a full mission, since it received the invitation from the Foreign Ministry only a week and a half ago, he said. Thus, the OSCE will send only an assessment mission, which will not even make a report, Chernenko explained.
