President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych expressed readiness to work with Slovakia in gas transport sector. He said at a joint press conference with President of the Republic of Slovakia Ivan Gasparovic in Kyiv.
“The experience we have accumulated in this direction says that the prospects of modernization of the gas transport system, as well as of the oil transport system are crucial. First, it is necessary to improve the reliability of this system, and second, increase the volumes of pumping both gas and oil,” Viktor Yanukovych said.
“Slovakia is a transit country. It is our partner. We are ready to work with Slovakia in this direction. The appropriate bodies have been already commissioned with this task,” the President of Ukraine said.
