Despite the crisis, the city authorities decided to allocate funds for celebration of Victory Day – May 9. The Kyiv officials adopted a resolution on allocation of UAH 186 million from the Kyiv budget for celebration of Victory Day, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
According to acting head of city administration Anatoliy Holubchenko, this year the celebration of Victory Day will be mostly the same like previous years, nothing special. The sum is increased because of prices hike.
As usual from 8 to 10 a.m. there will be ceremonial flowers-laying to monuments of killed warriors in the World War II. At 10 a.m. the column of veterans and military orchestras will walk along Kreshchatyk Street to Maidan square. Then at 11 o’clock meetings and concerts will take place.
