Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko told the business daily Kommersant-Ukraina that he is considering running in both the presidential and parliamentary elections if they take place, ForUm informs.
 
According to Yushchenko, early elections are not a tragedy. “Now the parliament is constant source of crisis. But holding of early parliamentary elections is not self-aim for me. It is important to avoid previous mistakes in the parliament,” he said.
 
According to him, he gave the parliament a stimulus for early elections of the VRU – he agreed for early presidential elections. “But I made a condition that parliamentary elections should be held in accordance with new principle. Elections should bring stability and quality in the parliament,” Yushchenko added.

Answering the qauestion whether he is going to participate in presidential and parliamentary elections if they take place, the President said: "I think I will take part in both."
