On Monday 19 at the sitting of the BYuT faction the decision to support the candidacy of Andriy Portnov for a position of the head of the State Property Fund was supported. As the ForUm’s correspondent reports, People’s deputy from the BYuT party Andriy Shkil stated in an interview with parliamentary journalists.
He confirmed the information that Portnov proposed to withdraw his candidacy from the position of the State Property Fund head.
“But we have agreed… that the single candidate from our party remains Andriy Portnov,” the People’s deputy said.
Commenting on the President’s statement that the head of the State Property Fund must be somebody else, but not Andriy Portnov, Shkil emphasized: “We do not influence the process who will be the NSDC Secretary. Another candidacy also must suit us, as well as the Secretariat head must be somebody else… We do not make such demands, that’s why we hope that the President will not make his demands, who according to the PM will better fulfill functions at the position of the State Property Fund head, the People’s deputies will decide this and only they will appoint the head of the State Property Fund, but not the President.
He informed that the BYuT hopes the OU-PSD will not put additional conditions during the voting for the State Property Fund head.
