People’s deputies from the coalition factions discussed possibility of address to President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko with a proposition to discharge Viktor Baloha from the position of the head of the President’s Secretariat. People’s deputy from the BYuT Viktor Taran-Teren stated in an interview with journalists after the joint meeting of the coalition.
According to him, at the meeting People’s deputy from the OU-PSD faction Oleksander Omelchenko made such proposition.
He stated that the majority of coalition members supported such proposition.
At the same time, member of the OU-PSD Yuriy Karmazin noted that chairman of the meeting, leader of the BYuT faction Ivan Kyrykenko, didn’t put this question for voting. “The chairman didn’t put this question for consideration. There wasn’t such voting,” he said. But Karmazin confirmed that such discussion took place.
