Yesterday President Vitor Yushchenko met with Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium Karel De Gucht. During the meeting parties discussed bilateral relations between Ukraine and Belgium, president's press office reported.

Viktor Yushchenko expressed his assurance that Ukrainian-Belgian  Roadmap for 2008 -2009, which the sides agreed to prepare, would play important role in stirring up relations between the two countries. Separately sides dwelled on discussing cooperation between Ukraine and Belgium within the framework of preparation to EURO 2012. President expressed gratitude to Belgian side for its support and said that the Ukrainian side expects the cooperation to deepen.

Yushchenko also reaffirmed his invitation to Prime Minister of Belgium to pay a visit to Ukraine after the new Belgian government is instated.

Beside President Yushchenko other participants of the meeting were Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko, Head of National Agency on preparation to EURO 2012 Evhen Chervonenko and deputy Chief of President’s Secretariat Staff Oksana Sliusarenko.
