President Viktor Yushchenko pays three-day working visit to Davos in Switzerland to participate in Davos World Economic Forum held on January 23 – 27.
According to press service of the president, 14 heads of the states confirmed their participation in the forum. Moreover, participation of leaders of international organizations, especially of economic sphere, is expected at the forum.
Viktor Yushchenko is going to participate in two sessions of Davos forum “Policy in pipeline transport” and “Human rights on world agenda”.
In scope of the visit the President is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings. Viktor Yushchenko is going to discuss bilateral relations of the countries, calendar of contacts for 2008, Ukraine’s joining Action plan on membership in NATO with State secretary of the USA Condoleezza Rice. The President is going to discuss energy issue with Azerbaijan president. Also the meetings with Presidents of Nigeria, Afghanistan and PM of Malaysia are planned.
Moreover, Yushchenko will participate in special arrangement “Ukrainian dinner in Davis”.
In scope of the visit the President is going to give some press conferences.
