People’s deputy from the bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko Mykola Tomenko calls the proposition of President Viktor Yushchenko to open the session of the VRU on January 22 as “legal nihilism”.
As “Novy channel” reports, Tomenko has cited the Constitution, where it is stated that the next VRU sitting starts on the first Tuesday of February and on the first Tuesday of September.
At the same time, the People’s deputy has noted that he supports the appeals of the Head of the State to rest less, and to start working as soon as possible.
Earlier, President suggested that parliamentarians cancel their winter recess. According to Viktor Yushchenko some urgent tasks stand before Verkhovna Rada therefore he proposed that deputies prove their will to effectively work for the good of nation and not interrupt their legislative work
