Within the framework of his visit to Georgia President Viktor Yushchenko met with Georgian opposition leaders. President’s press office reports.
During the meeting President has said that Ukraine welcomes the decision to hold pre-term presidential elections and is ready to assist in their free and democratic conducting. According to Viktor Yushchenko Ukraine will send representatives from Verkhovna Rada and Central Election Commission of Ukraine as well as representatives of state and public authorities as observers within OSCE mission.
President has expressed his assurance that all elections participants will respect the results of vote.
Viktor Yushchenko also has added that bilateral relations between Ukraine and Georgia will be further developing warmly and constructively regardless of elections results.
