The government of the USA is ready to allocate USD 100 thousand in order to help relatives of the miners, died in the coal mine in Donetsk. Deputy Ambassador of the USA to Ukraine James Pettit told journalists at a briefing in Donetsk.
“I heard that the sum would be USD 50 thousand, and then it was said the sum would be about USD 100 thousand. But we haven’t received a conformation yet. It will be a minimum of USD 50 thousand,” Pettit said. He added that “these funds will be transferred through the public organizations.”
Pettit added that “this is only the start.” “Hopefully, a technical aid will be performed from our side too, together with the financial one,” he noted.
