President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko pays state visit to Israel on November 13-15.

The main task of the visit is to activate political dialogue, to strengthen cooperation in trade-economic and social-cultural spheres. The visit also must contribute to awareness of Israeli leadership and people of meaning of tragedy the Holodomor 1932-1933 and other historical events.

The visit also foresees discussion of problems of Israeli-Palestinian peaceful regulations, in particular Ukrainian support of international efforts in this process.

Yushchenko is expected to hold a meeting with expatriates Ukrainian and representatives of Ukrainian community in Israel on the first day of the visit.

On November 14 Yushchenko will hold a meeting with the President of Israel Shimon Peres. After the meeting the sides are going to sign bilateral agreements. Viktor Yushchenko also expected to meet with speaker of Israeli parliament, Prime Minister, vice prime Minister and Finance Minister of Israel.

Viktor Yushchenko also plans to visit memorial museum “Yad Vahsem” to participate in ceremony of wreath-laying to the monument of victims of Holocaust.

On November 15 Ukraine’s President is going to meet with representatives of Israeli business and with leader of parliamentary opposition.

Yushchenko also will hold a meeting with Patriarch of Jerusalem Teofil III
