Ukrainian-Russian relations may be changed for the better with the appointment of Viktor Zubkov as the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Finance Mykola Azarov has stated today after the regular 35th session of Economic council of CIS in Moscow.

“Ukrainian-Russian relations will not be changed with the appointment of new Prime Minister, and if it is so, then they will be changed only for the better,” Azarov said.

He has emphasized that Zubkov is known in Ukraine.

As a reminder, on September 12 President of RF Putin had accepted the resignation of Fradkov government.

On September 14 the State Duma affirmed the candidacy of Zubkov for the Prime Minister.
