After joining the Schengen zone, the Czech Republic will issue either Czech visas, or Schengen ones to Ukrainians, Czech Ambassador to Ukraine Karel Stindl told journalists after the press conference "The International Visegrad Fund's Scholarships for Ukrainian Students in 2007 to 2008 Academic Year", the Cabinet’s press office informs.
The diplomat noted that the Czech visas will be issued to Ukrainians for stay in the Czech Republic only. In case of visiting the EU countries, Ukrainians should apply for the Schengen visas, he said.
Ukraine is presently, negotiating with Slovakia, Hungary and Poland on introduction of a non-visa regime for Ukrainians.
