Ukraine is satisfied with the first stage of negotiations with the European Union and with the fact that such talks took place. Spokesman of Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Andriy Deshchitsa told Tuesday at a briefing.

“Ukraine is also pleased with the achieved agreements about the next stage of negotiations, scheduled for April 2 in Kyiv,” he said.

Deshchitsa also told that the day before the negotiations head of the Ukrainian delegation, deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Veselovsky met with EU European Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Benita Ferrero-Waldner.

“In the course of the meeting they discussed state of affairs in Ukraine, exchanged opinions as regards common efforts of Ukraine and the EU on renewal of negotiation concerning settlement of Transdniestrian conflict in “5+2” format, as well as EU mission on aid at Ukrainian-Moldavian border,” he noted
