An Agreement for the avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion was signed in Singapore. This is the 67th Agreement signed by Ukraine, Cabinet press office reported.
The Agreement was signed by First Vice Prime Minister, Minister for Finance of Ukraine Mykola Azarov who is on an official visit to Singapore at invitation of the Singaporean side and Second Minister for Finance of the Republic of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
After the signing ceremony Mr. Shanmugaratnam stated that our countries have warm and friendly relations in all spheres of activity. Singapore really appreciates great potential of the Ukrainian economy, its export opportunities and at the same time aspirations for improving scientific and technical potential.
Singapore is a gate of the North-Eastern Asia. Having signed Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation this gate is open for the Ukrainian business, the Second Minister for Finance of the Republic of Singapore said.
In his turn, Mykola Azarov disclosed that Agreement with Singapore is of great significance for Ukraine. Practically, we have “given open passage” to capital flow, accelerated adjustment of relations between businesses of two countries.
We view Singapore as a highly developed state, cooperation with which will promote implementation of our far-reaching and really ambitious plans of economic development in Ukraine, Mykola Azarov stressed.
