The Russian Federation in 2007 will step up volumes of gas transit via Ukraine, Ukrainian Minister for Fuel and Energy Yuriy Boyko said at a press conference, “Cabinet press office” informs.
"We reached an understanding with our Russian partners and the gas transit will be increased, now we are working out details at the level of economic subjects," the Minister said.
According to the state-run company "UkrTransGaz, in 2006 gas transit volumes through Ukraine to Europe will amount to 113.8 bn. cu. m. and to CIS countries 14.7 bn. cu.m.
