June 20, 2006 the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has departed for Geneva for purpose to take part at the first session of newly created UN Human Rights Council which has to be held in the UN HQ. In his speech there Minister Tarasyuk will outline Ukraine’s vision of the further work of this extremely important organisation and to inform of the situation with the human rights observance in Ukraine, the MFA press office informs.

During the visit Borys Tarasyuk is due to meet with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea with a view to discuss current issues of bilateral relations, the interaction in the framework of the UNO, in particular in the UN Human Rights Council.

Minister Tarasyuk will also hold the meeting with the Secretary General of the World Trade Organization.

The head of the foreign ministry of Ukraine will hold a press conference for local journalists as well as for accredited in Geneva international news agencies.
