Ukraine will settle up its debt for Turkmen gas supplied in 2003-2005 with pipe production in the amount of $58 million by August, 2006. Ukraine’s PM Yuri Yekhanurov revealed it Monday at the working conference.
The total amount of debt for Turkmen gas makes $63 million, PM spokesman Valentyn Mondriyevsky told.
The Cabinet decided to form a delegation headed by Fuel and Energy Minister Ivan Plachkov for negotiations with Turkmenistan over the cooperation issues. The delegation is to be formed by May 24.
In the course of the discussion, the participants discussed the current state of Ukraine’s payment for consumed gas.
