Victor Yushchenko said the future of the ‘orange coalition’ depends on mutual trust and sincerity of values, the president press office informs.

“I’m convinced everything depends on trust, sincerity of declarations and personal behavior of all members of this alliance,” he said. “… We’ve been trying to create a democratic orange coalition. Ukraine has a good chance to live stably for the next four years.”

The Chief of State also cautioned politicians not to broach subjects that split society.

“This policy is shortsighted. Ukraine doesn’t need it. I’m not sure we will feel comfortable if someone starts speaking about federalism, language, religion or condemns the NATO or the European Union,” he opined, urging all members of the future coalition to “spare no effort to never reanimate such things in Ukrainian politics.”
