The Committee of Ukraine’s Voters (KIU) states the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine successfully passed the test on democracy, KIU Chairman Ihor Popov told Monday at the press conference in Kyiv.

“Before this election if the policemen caught the violators trying to vote more than one time, they let them go, but now the violators have been detained and their destiny will be considered by court. The police was properly instructed. When the law enforcement officers watched a voter going out of the polling station for smoke or cup of coffee, they asked such person to return to the station otherwise the person gave a notice of possible criminal responsibility,” said Popov.

KIU Chairman states the police honourably discharged its duty. March 26, over five thousand policemen kept order during the voting in Ukraine.
