On November 30, the EU Mission on Frontiers of Ukraine and Moldova will launch its work in Odesa, the press secretary of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry Vasyl Filipchuk.
According to Filipchuk, the Mission activity is the key component for Transdniestrian settlement in accordance with Ukrainian plan “Settlement through the Democracy.”
The Mission’s functions are following: to fight trans-frontier crimes and to increase effectiveness of border and custom control.
EU Secretary General Havier Solana, EU Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner, the representatives of Interior Ministries of Ukraine and Moldova are to take place in the opening of the Mission.
