Agrarian policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk notes that cooperation with China will intensify the development of the Ukrainian agricultural sector.
The minister said that Ukraine is interested in developing closer cooperation with China in agriculture, particularly in the expansion of the supply of Ukrainian crop products to the Chinese market. The exchange of experience in plant breeding, exchange of the best samples of seed and seed testing in Ukraine are also issues of interest. In addition, one of the priorities of the crop sector is the development of the land reclamation project in the eastern regions and the production of plant protection products and fertilizers in Ukraine.
"Ukraine has a number of projects, to be introduced in cooperation with China. So, we would like to collaborate, using the experience of the two countries in the development of projects on seed, irrigation, crop production and a number of others," he said during visit to China, the Ministry’s press service informs.
Prysiazhniuk added that the Ukrainian party initiates the exchange of experience in the development of new technologies and equipment for the processing industry, cooperation in the development of selective breeding and the exchange of tribal genetic resources. No less promising is the possibility of a wide range of mutually beneficial projects in the field of fisheries.
The minister also intends to study the Chinese experience in the field of land legislation.
