Under Own Home, a program aimed to support construction of individual housing in rural areas and to improve living conditions of rural population, 85,800 m2 of apartment buildings were commissioned and 3,105 of previously built estates were gasified in 2013. The announcement was made by Gennady Temnik, Acting Minister of Regional Development, Construction, and Housing-Communal Services, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.
According to preliminary data, about 1,300 families benefited from the Own Home program, and in 2014, the appropriated funding will allow to provide assistance to 3,000 more families. In 2013, the largest soft loans were issued in Vinnitsa, Zaporozhe, Kherson, Chernigov, and Odessa regions.
According to experts, the Own Home program provides to Ukrainian citizens residing in villages and employed by local authorities and AIC enterprises have the right for a soft state loan at 3% per annum: for up to 20 years for individual builders and for up to 30 years – for young or single-parent families, where age of each spouse/parent does not exceed 35 years
