There are no reasons to revise the financial arrangements with Ukraine, but rising debt of Kyiv on gas contracts causes concern, Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated.
"Russia needs to do what it already does - provide assistance and not interfere in internal affairs. There are no reasons to revise previous agreements with Ukraine and there will never be, but rising debt of Kyiv on gas contracts causes concern. We hope that our Ukrainian colleagues will fulfill all obligations," Peskov said.
"Putin has repeatedly commented this issue and stressed that assistance is provided to the people of Ukraine. We hope for a speedy resolution of the situation," the press secretary stressed and added that Moscow wants to understand how the funds will be spent.
