Shevchenkivsky District Court in Kyiv granted the request of prosecutors on the application of the Law "On Elimination of Negative Consequences and Prevention of Prosecution and Punishment of Persons on Occasion of Events that Took Place during Peaceful Rallies" to another convicted over the December clashes in the capital.
As the press service of the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office informs, according to the decision of the district court, a man was released from punishment imposed earlier with a verdict of the same court.
"As of today, the norms of the Law was applied to 15 people, prosecuted for crimes related to a violent confrontation with police in November and December last year," the prosecutor's office stressed.
During the week, prosecutors will put the question before the courts on the application of the law to all persons who fall under its scope.
