Verkhovna Rada may be dissolved, if it remains to be powerless, leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
Yefremov drew journalists' attention to the fact that deputies failed to approve the schedule of the current session for the first time in the history of the Ukrainian Parliament.
"Mechanism (of early dissolution of parliament - Ed.) exists. The President has all the powers to take the appropriate decision. I do not think that in this situation he has a great desire to plunge the country into elections. But if everything remains as it is and Parliament does not work, something needs to be done with this," he said.
Yefremov added that politicians are obliged to be able to negotiate and solve problems arising in the country.
