Ukrainian Olympians will get more than 1 million UAH for every gold medal in Sochi, acting Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov said, opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We have done everything necessary to properly prepare our athletes and to represent our country at the Olympic Games in Sochi. The government took care of material encouragement for athletes. Worthy award awaits winners. The gold medal will be rewarded with more than a million hryvnias, silver medal - 680 thousand UAH, bronze medal - 470 thousand UAH," he stressed.
Arbuzov added that the size of premiums was increased after the Olympics in London.
Acting Prime Minister wished the Ukrainian Olympic team victories.
