The decision was made by Coordinating Council of Ukrainian Network Information Center (UANIC), the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.
According to Vladimir Seminozhenko, Chairman of the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization, the decision was necessitated by the need to complete the process of establishing a commission on pre-trial investigation of domain disputes.
According to the agency, since starting of the .укр domain, almost 2,500 names have been registered in the domain and 13 registrars accredited.
The State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization say, the fifth stage of the priority registration covers a fairly wide range of people who have priority rights for registration of domain names, who for various reasons have not yet used it, now they have such a possibility.
Government analysts believe that transition to free registration is an important stage in the development of .укр domain, and an extra month will allow experts to evaluate the developed infrastructure, continue accreditation of registrars and improve regulations.
