Nearly 900 thousand people received humanitarian aid that was imported to Ukraine during 2013, deputy acting social policy minister Vyacheslav Kolomiets stated, the press service of the Social Policy Ministry reports.
"During the past year the Social Policy Ministry made every effort to get customs clearance for humanitarian supplies intended for institutions of social protection and for the most vulnerable groups of citizens as soon as possible. In general, almost 900 thousand people received humanitarian aid in 2013," he said.
Acting deputy minister said that about 150 goods out of 967 mainly contained rehabilitation equipment. In addition, he noted that a lot of goods contained equipment for medical institutions or medication.
