A state of emergency has been declared in Crimea on behalf of chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea Anatoly Mohyliov.

Mohyliov said that adverse weather conditions affected traffic movement, disrupted electricity, water and heat supply in 15 regions of Crimea. "Under the extremely difficult weather conditions, our main task is to provide Crimeans with normal living conditions. First of all, we need to restore normal operation of schools, hospitals, social facilities and water supply systems," he said.

Head of the Council of Ministers of Crimea instructed the heads of cities and districts, together with all the specialized services to create the operational headquarters and keep the situation in the regions under constant control.
