Ukrainian power system should be separated from politics in order to fully meet the needs of the population, former energy minister of Ukraine, chairman of the Supervisory Board of PJSC "Kyivenergo" Ivan Plachkov told a round table.
"Energy and power complex should be depoliticized. Neither the Energy Ministry nor the energy companies, nor "Naftogaz of Ukraine" can be viewed through the prism of the interests of some political force. This is the property of the nation, it must be depoliticized and must operate independently of political, economic and weather conditions," Plachkov said.
Regarding reports about terrorist threats and seizure of NPPs, Plachkov noted that in our country there is hardly any "person with inflammation of brain", who today can seriously think about that.
