Registration of land plots is automated

Due to the National Cadastre System software, land registration was drastically expedited. The announcement was made by Serhiy Timchenko, Chairman of State Agency of Land Resources of Ukraine during the final press conference in the Cabinet of Ministers, Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.

"Since the beginning of 2013 land registration has been completely automated with the help of a National Cadastre System software tool, which was developed by domestic experts in a short time under the World Bank project. Thus the time required for land registration and queues were minimized," Timchenko said.

The chairman also said that with the introduction of several organizational and technical measures, the number of applications to the appropriate authorities fell from three in 2011 to one in 2013. The time for provision of administrative services has also been significantly cut down. According to the department, time for the state registration of the land plot was reduced from 24 to 14 days, and for providing a land plot extract - from 10 days to 1 day.

Experts of State Agency of Land Resources are also systematically and consistently working to reduce the cost of services. Thus, until recently, the state registration of the land plot cost 153 UAH, and in 2013 the cost was reduced to 65 UAH. In the future, the fee for this service will be abolished. For this, the State Agency of Land Resources drafted the Law of Ukraine "On Amending Law of Ukraine "On State Land Cadastre" about cancellation of the fee for entering and updating information in the State Land Cadastre, " approved by the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading.
