Kyiv schools and kindergartens, which are at the epicenter of the protests, will not be closed, deputy education and science minister of Ukraine Yevhen Sulima told journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.

"There are problems with the schools in the center of Kyiv, because parents do not let children go there," he said.

According to him, the tense situation is observed around six schools located near Khreshchatyk Street and Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square.

"Schools and kindergartens won’t be closed, but only parents should decide whether to let their children go there or not," Sulima summed up.
