Deputies adopt four laws instead of cancelled 'laws of January 16"

The Verkhovna Rada adopted four laws instead of cancelled 'laws of January 16", ForUm correspondent reports.

257 deputies voted for a package of bills.

These laws were adopted without discussion, including law introducing amendments to the law of Ukraine on free legal assistance regarding the postponement of the entry into force of the provisions of clause 6 and the law on amending Article 297 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding responsibility for desecration and destruction of monuments built in memory of those who fought during the World War II, Soviet soldiers, participants of the guerrilla movement, victims of Nazi persecution, as well as soldiers-internationalists.

Deputies also passed the law on amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine concerning denial or justification of the crimes of fascism and the law introducing amendments to the Tax Code regarding the exemption of natural gas imports to Ukraine from VAT.
