President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych had a phone conversation with Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, ForUm learned from the press service of the Head of State.
The parties discussed internal political situation in Ukraine.
In the course of the conversation, the President emphasized the importance of continuing negotiations in order to find optimal ways of solving the political crisis.
In his turn, the Secretary-General of the United Nations stressed the importance of peaceful settlement of the situation. He urged all the parties to be maximally tolerant and find the solution of the crisis via dialogue.
In this regard, Ban Ki-moon expressed readiness to guide UN special representative to Ukraine to participate in this dialogue.
