The Interior Ministry does not intend to take active measures against the protesters in Hrushevsky Street until the negotiations between opposition and President Yanukovych end. This was stated by spokesman for the Interior Ministry of Ukraine Serhiy Burlakov.

"Negotiations between the opposition of the President go on. The police is still in their positions," he said.

The spokesman stressed that the police only respond to the use of force by protesters.

He recalled that interior minister Vitaly Zakharchenko encourages law enforcement officers to show restraint and not to respond to minor provocations.
