Ukraine's debt for gas supplies last year is 2.7 billion USD, which has to be repaid by January 25, the Gazprom representative said during a conference call.
"Ukraine owes 2.7 billion dollars for the gas supply, and the term of the payment is January 25. Perhaps, Ukraine will ask to postpone the repayment until a later date," he said.
According to him, Gazprom expects that Ukraine will buy 35-40 billion cubic meters of gas in 2014. "Due to the reduced price, we expect that Ukraine will buy 35-40 billion cubic meters of gas in 2014," he said.
