Opposition leaders during a meeting with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych actually confirmed that they had no common position, no control over the situation in the capital's streets, where their supporters continue to engage in clashes with police officers.

Such conclusions can be made after analyzing the statement by justice minister of Ukraine Olena Lukash, uttered after the meeting.

"Intense negotiations continued for more than three hours. It is a pity that the opposition leaders have not been able to sign a statement condemning extremist actions. They also failed to answer whether they would be able to control the radical actions," Lukash said.
