Anatoly Mohyliov, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea, presented to Chinese and Singaporean investors the economic and investment potential of the region. The event, which was held in Singapore, was attended by representatives of Singapore Business Federation and Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, as well as representatives of Singaporean and Chinese companies interested in development of relations with Ukraine, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.

International analysts note that Singapore is one of the world's largest financial centers. Annually, Singapore makes over 20 billion USD of foreign direct investments.

According to Mohyliov, significant prospects for Singapore investors can be opened by infrastructural projects on upgrade of Crimean ports, construction of transport crossing "Crimea-Caucasus", reconstruction of Simferopol airport, and development of fuel-energy cluster based on "green" energy principles.

Mogilev also emphasized the attractiveness to potential investors of construction of modern waste-processing plant using advanced technologies provided by Singapore. In particular, to Surbana International Company, which has over 45 years of experience in recycling the industrial waste for biogas and electricity in 27 countries.

Also, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea met Mr. Ho Kwon Ping, founder and executive chairman of the largest travel company in south-east region SC Banyan Tree Hotels in Singapore.

The parties discussed tourist and recreational potential of Crimea, role of the peninsula as leading tourist hub of Ukraine, and prospects of developing the industry. Following the meeting, it was agreed to receive the company experts in Crimea for a detailed review of the autonomy’s potential.
