
Protesters stepped up security around the perimeter of the Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square, ForUm correspondent reports.

Men are being armed with sticks, ready to repel possible attacks of police officers.

In addition, barricades on the side of Yevropeiska Square have been considerably strengthened. One column of the activists stands before the barricades, other two columns- behind the fortification.
It is worth noting that women and girls are not let leave Maidan.
Cafes and shops in Khreshchatyk Street on the side of Yevropeiska Square have been closed. Some outlets in the underpass have been also closed.
