Ten suspects in Kyiv riots arrested

First ten suspects in the riots, which began on January 19 in Hrushevsky Street in Kyiv, were sentenced to remand in custody by district courts of Kyiv at the request of investigators and prosecutors. 

"According to the investigation materials, all those persons were directly involved in the riots near the "Dynamo" stadium in Hrushevsky Street accompanied by violence, arson, destruction of property and resistance to authorities," spokeswoman for Kyiv prosecutor’s office Yana Sobolevska informed.

According to her, those people were arrested within investigation of criminal proceedings opened under Art. 294 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (riots).
